Hands touch, eyes meet
Sudden silence, sudden heat
Hearts leap in a giddy whirl
He could be that boy…
But I’m not that girl…
The words of this song
Keeps coming and going
I have always sang along
This isn’t what I wanted my life to be
I didn’t want to be lost or alone
I can never find a way to be me
Only through theatre
Is where I’m supposed to be
I will never take risks
And I will never find my real love
Because I have nothing to give
So what do I live for?
The longing to learn how to love
Don't wish, don't start
Sudden silence, sudden heat
Hearts leap in a giddy whirl
He could be that boy…
But I’m not that girl…
The words of this song
Keeps coming and going
I have always sang along
This isn’t what I wanted my life to be
I didn’t want to be lost or alone
I can never find a way to be me
Only through theatre
Is where I’m supposed to be
I will never take risks
And I will never find my real love
Because I have nothing to give
So what do I live for?
The longing to learn how to love
Don't wish, don't start
Wishing only wounds the heart
I wasn't born for the rose and pearl
There's a girl I know
He loves her so
I'm not that girl...

Eventually man comes to the point where he asks: “What do I live for?” In other words, one does not find any pleasure in this life anymore, or he only sees very little. One starts asking about pleasure, as well as about the meaning of life. It is because the meaning of life is to feel that one’s egoistic desire is filled. However, if there is nothing to fill it with, then what does one live for?
